Welcome to the course!

In this course, you will learn how to build advanced 3D models using PowerPoint. The advanced techniques and tricks you will learn in this course are not taught anywhere else.

I developed the techniques as solutions to the limitations I found with the simple 3D formatting tools in PowerPoint.

We'll go over these techniques using simple and practical mini-projects. For your best learning results, please go through all the mini-projects.

Course Objectives & Scope

This course deals with how to make native 3D models in PowerPoint. This means building 3D models right inside PowerPoint using the built-in 3D formatting tools.

In PowerPoint, we can also use external pre-built 3D models by importing them using the Insert 3D Models feature. These models are built using 3D model creation programs such as Paint3D, Blender, and other dedicated programs. This course will NOT be thoroughly covering this aspect of working with 3D in PowerPoint.

Software Requirements

To build 3D models using PowerPoint, you need to use PowerPoint 2013 or more recent versions of PowerPoint. This also lets you create simple animations of the completed 3D models.

However, to create the more advanced animation sequences that I teach in this course, you need to use PowerPoint's Morph transition effect (or Morph for short). Morph is only available if you have an Office three-sixty-five subscription or are using PowerPoint 2019.

For Office 365 subscribers using PowerPoint for the web, Morph is available when you are using files stored in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint Online.

Course Format

Most lessons in this course are narrated video lessons recorded in Full HD. For your best learning experience, please play the videos in full-screen mode. You can pause the videos at any time as needed, as well as play them at faster or slower playback speeds as you wish.
